Relebohile Mofokeng reflects on his trials at Wolves in England
Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng has shared his experience of his recent trials at English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mofokeng spent a few weeks in England at Wolves, where he was being assessed. The trials came after his impressive display since making his debut late in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.
There have also been reports that Levante FC in Spain has shown interest with a possible trial on the cards. The 19-year-old has since confirmed that Wolves are yet to issue feedback and revealed what he made of the football standard at Wolves.

“I would say there is not much of a difference [football-wise]. I didn’t get the feedback, but let’s hope for the best,” he said.
“But then I don’t think there is much of a difference between us, the PSL players, and the players at Wolves. But then I am just hoping for the best.”

Mofokeng has played 22 times for the Buccaneers since making his debut in May last year. He also spoke about his progress in the first team since his promotion from the DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] team.
“I wasn’t expecting it to be that quick. But then I had to adjust to the environment and the pressure,” he said.
“I think I worked hard, and when I saw myself at the DDC, I knew I deserved to go to the PSL, and I think I still need to prove myself that I belong [here].”
With regard to the hype on social media platforms around his performances, Mofokeng had this to say: “I don’t use social media as much, so I don’t give them [comments] attention. I just look and pass because people will always talk. What matters is how you take it.”
