Khama Billiat spotted at a PSL side
Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has been spotted at a new PSL side ahead of the DStv Premiership second round.
The veteran second striker has been without a club since parting ways with Amakhosi in July 2023.
When Billiat’s contract expired at the Soweto giants, Chiefs came forward to reveal that they offered the Zimbabwean international a new deal, but he never responded to the offer. It was also reported that Billiat had never set foot at Naturena since the expiry of his contract.
Billiat was last seen at the club’s Village on 29 June 2023. However, he has not answered any of the calls made by the club. Since he left the Glamour Boys, the 33-year-old footballer has struggled to find a club.
Last season, he only managed to make 12 appearances for Chiefs and contributed three assists in the process.
In South Africa, before joining Amakhosi, He also had stints with Ajax Cape Town [now known as Cape Town Spurs] and Mamelodi Sundowns.
KHAMA BILLIAT SPOTTED AT SUPERSPORT UNITED
Billiat has since resurfaced at the Tshwane giants SuperSport United. The player will be hoping to secure a deal and get his mojo back.
With the January transfer window period already opened, a deal could be on the cards for the talented attacker.
If Gavin Hunt’s side decides to bring in the Zimbabwean international, Billiat will be expected to add value to Matsatsantsa’s attacking options, given his extensive experience of the beautiful game.
The side will return to action on Tuesday, 13 February 2024, against Sekhukhune United at home in a DStv Premiership clash. The showdown will start at 19:30 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
As things stand, SuperSport are placed third on the table with 29 points from 16 outings.
