Moroka Swallows recall more of dismissed players
Moroka Swallows have recalled more of the players they dismissed after the club’s disciplinary hearing in January.
Last month, the Dube Birds sacked the majority of their squad after finding them guilty of misconduct as they went on strike which led to the club failing to honour their two DStv Premiership fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows.
When Swallows returned to training last week, they posted Daniel Akpeyi, Tlakusani Mthethwa and Gabadinho Mhango on their social media platforms training with the club.
The trio was among the sacked players but was said to have come to agreements with Swallows after the discussions. The above-mentioned players returned with a few players that hadn’t been dismissed and a handful of trialists.

According to FARPost sources, they have welcomed back the defender Sipho Sibiya and more unnamed squad members. It is understood the loanee Bongani Sam might also return before the DStv Premiership resumption with the two parties having held talks.
Meanwhile, many are eagerly awaiting Andile Jali’s future outcome. His agent Mike Makaab insisted the midfielder was not on strike as he was injured at the time. He revealed that they were contesting his dismissal.
LATEST ON MAHLONOKO AND OTHER TRIALISTS AT MOROKA SWALLOWS
This website recently reported that Swallows were assessing the former Orlando Pirates midfielder Augustine Mahlonoko who’s eyeing a move back to the top-flight.
Those within Swallows’ walls believe he has put pen to paper securing a contract he left La Masia. And the former Baroka FC striker Tristan Nikitaridis is another man hoping for a contract as Swallows continue to rebuild.
