Change of ownership leaves Kgoloko Thobejane out in the cold
A change of ownership has left coach Kgoloko Thobejane out in the cold in the SAFA North West ABC Motsepe League just a few weeks at the helm.
Last month, this publication reported that coach Thobejane has found a new home after cutting ties with the Northern Cape amateur side Postmasburg FC.
The ex-Baroka FC mentor was in charge of Postmasburg since 2023, joining them from ABC Motsepe outfit Som United, where he left barely four months into the job.
KGOLOKO THOBEJANE PARTED WAYS WITH SUPER STARS FC
FARPost has it on good authority that coach Thobejane has parted ways with North West amateur side, Super Stars FC.
This comes after the previous owners of Super Stars FC sold their ABC Motsepe League status to the owners.
As a result, the club’s new owners came with their own players and coaches.
Coach Thobejane had taken over the coaching reins at Super Stars FC from Goodman Phosa.
“Well, they sold the team to someone,” confirmed coach Thobejane.
“So, the new owner or chairman came with his own players and coaches. That’s why I’m back home.”
As things stand, Super Stars FC are placed eighth in Steam A of their provincial ABC Motsepe League with eight points from 11 outings.
The side’s next league match will be against Thaba Tshwane FC at home on Saturday, 24 February 2024.
The showdown will take place at Cougar Park Stadium, with the kick-off set for 15:00.
KGOLOKO THOBEJANE GRATEFUL TO HAVE ENROLLED FOR THE CAF C LICENSE
Coach Thobejane also expressed his gratitude for having been able to enrol for the CAF C license that is currently underway at the University of Limpopo.
“My decision to enrol for this course dates back to 2017 when I got my CAF license. I have never got the opportunity to come back to continue with my badges due to work commitments,” he added.
“I remember last year when there was this course at Ekurhuleni, I was supposed to go there but the problem was that I was unable to get a leave from my previous employers. But now God has made it possible and I was free to enrol for it.”
