Ramovic: ‘If it was others, they would made big headlines’
TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic feels his side is not appreciated enough like other clubs in the DStv Premiership.
The Rockets beat Abafana Bes’thende 2-1 on the road to seal the round of 16 spot in the Nedbank Cup. This was a third meeting between the two sides this season and the Mpumalanga-based side has triumphed in all three encounters.
Galaxy have also come out victorious in all their last four matches in all competitions. And Ramovic has showered praise for his troops, saying “it’s not an easy thing to do” in SA football.
He believes if it was other clubs, they would have made “headlines” for achieving that feat. Ramovic says his players aren’t getting enough credit for the consistency they’ve shown in the league and for reaching the Carling Knockout Cup final.
SEAD RAMOVIC SAYS THEY ARE NOT APPRECIATED ENOUGH
“They don’t get the credit they deserve, we just came from the final [Carling Knockout Cup], we played well and we were unlucky to lose,” said Ramovic.
“After that many of the experts thought that we would drop down after that kind of game that we lost. Five games in a row to win in this league is not easy at all.
“I’m pretty sure that if any other team would win five games in a row it would be big headlines. I think that it’s time for the experts again…I don’t why they don’t want to talk about my players, I don’t know.
“But they deserve a lot of attention, a lot of credit because if you see again our left-back has six assists. Show me one left-back in the league that has the most assists as him.
“[Pogiso] Sanoka, Marks [Munyai], I think in the last six or five games, we just conceded three goals. Our midfield trio, it’s unbelievable how they move, how they create chances and the rotation.
‘WE WILL FORCE EXPERTS TO TALK ABOUT TS GALAXY PLAYERS’
“If you see the strikers, Bradley [Lehlohonolo Mojela] and Samir [Nurkovic], top high-class. If you see the wingers…they should get credit but if they don’t get it, I don’t care because why? We will keep going to improve.
“We will force them, all the experts, to start talking about my players.”
Galaxy are seventh on the log standings having accumulated 24 points from 16 games they have played.
In their next game, they face Cape Town Spurs on Sunday, 03 March at 3:30 pm at the Athlone Stadium.
