AmaZulu FC to welcome two youngsters next season

AmaZulu FC have acquired the services of the two youngsters who will join the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Usuthu have had a fluctuating run since the start of the season struggling to find consistency under the guidance of Pablo Franco Martin.

The Spanish tactician took over from Ayanda Dlamini who was an interim coach after the redeployment of Romain Folz.

The club has only picked seven wins, seven draws and suffered six defeats from 20 matches in all competitions this PSL campaign with Martin in charge.

As they continue working towards the club’s ‘Project 2032’ that was launched last year, they have begun plans for the upcoming campaign.

The club’s president Sandile Zungu has confirmed to FARPost that they have signed two young players who are yet to be revealed and will join before the beginning of the next season.

In the past few seasons, AmaZulu have gone hard in the July/August transfer windows aiming at bolstering the team but at the same time having mass exoduses.

Two weeks ago, Martin said the club’s technical team has been “paying attention to the market”, monitoring players for potential signings.

He also admitted they were intending to make more acquisitions in January but they couldn’t get the players they were targeting.

‘WE NEED TO GO FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE THE SQUAD’

“I already said that [in the January transfer] market, we had the opportunity to sign some of the players who could have given us a step forward to reach the next level or to be competitive,” said Martin.

“We couldn’t get them in the end but on the other hand, I’m really happy with my squad. From the beginning, they have been working from day one till today. It’s amazing to share the pitch with these warriors and human beings.

“We are going to keep pushing with them but also our responsibility as coaches as members of the technical team which is monitoring players to keep paying attention to the market.

“And when we have the opportunity to improve the squad, we need to try to go for it. From there, we cannot do anything else but wait for the ones who decide.”
