Sekhukhune United attacker Sibusiso Vilakazi is facing an uncertain future at the club as he continues to struggle for game time in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
The experienced midfielder is yet to start a league match for Sekhukhune this season after making eight appearances from the bench.
Vilakazi made 13 appearances across all competitions for the Limpopo-based side without scoring any goal last campaign.
The 34-year-old star joined Sekhukhune United on a short-term deal in March 2023 following his abrupt exit from TS Galaxy.
After his short-term contract at the club ended, Vilakazi was rewarded with a new one-year contract at the start of the season.

The former Bafana Bafana international will see his contract at Sekhukhune expire in June 2024, and this publication understands his future is hanging in the balance.
‘Vila’ could find himself as a free agent at the end of the season after falling down the pecking order at Babina Noko.
“At the moment Sekhukhune United are busy reviewing their squad, deciding who to let go at the end of the season,” a source told FARPost.
“The management wants the club to take a new direction of having a youthful squad. You’ll see more players from the development in the senior team next season.
“Sibusiso Vilakazi is among the names that will possibly leave at the end of the season. I mean, we all know his qualities, but he’s yet to make a big contribution at Sekhukhune United. And he’s amongst the top earners at the club.”
Sekhukhune coach Lehlohonolo Seema has been preferring Elias Mokwana, Vusumuzi Mcube, Thamsanqa Masiya, and Chibuike Ohizu in the attacking positions.
