Why Parker expects Sead Ramovic to grow beyond TS Galaxy
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana attacker Bernard Parker has explained why he expects TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic to grow beyond the club.
Ramovic has proven to be a coach with good tactical acumen since joining TS Galaxy back in October 2021.
In the past weekend, the German-born mentor guided the Rockets to the quarter-finals of the 2024 Nedbank Cup after a 3-0 win over ABC Motsepe League side D’General.
Galaxy also finished as runners-up in the inaugural 2023 Carling Knockout Cup after losing 5-4 on penalties against Stellenbosch FC in December 2023.
Meanwhile, the Mpumalanga-based side remains on course to finish in the top eight of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season. Galaxy won seven matches in the league, drawing four while losing on seven occasions. They are currently sitting in ninth place on the log standings with 25 points after 18 games played.
BERNARD PARKER OUTLINES WHAT MAKES SEAD RAMOVIC A SPECIAL COACH
With Galaxy proving to be one of the most organised and well-coached teams, veteran attacker Parker has admitted that Ramovic is destined for greater heights.
“I played at the highest level under great coaches and, managers, but coach Ramovic has his qualities and his way of working,” Parker told FARPost.
“And he’s a coach who has been in the Premiership for a short stint, he has done tremendously well. More than anything, he’s a coach who wants to improve his energy, his winning mentality, and his mindset.
“Every day he’s preaching that we work to improve and he’s one of the hard-working coaches I worked under.
“So I’m also an aspiring coach and what coach Sead has put in place here at TS Galaxy in terms of workmanship is great.
“We’ve got such a strong bond, we have such strong family amongst each other and that makes room for growth. We want to make sure that TS Galaxy grows and coach Sead wants to coach at the higher level, with the mentality and mindset, he has what it takes to coach bigger and beyond TS Galaxy.”
