SA coach attracts interest from Ghanian giants
Ghanian giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have reportedly shown strong interest in a South African coach.
Hearts of Oak is the oldest surviving football club in Ghana and one of the most successful. Kotoko on the other hand have won the Ghana Premier League a record 24 times.
FARPost has established that South African coach Willy Moloto has made an impression during his recent stint in the West African country with both teams keen on roping him as part of their technical team.
NO SURPRISE AS GHANIAN GIANTS SHOW INTEREST IN PSL COACH WILLY MOLOTO
Moloto recently concluded his stay at second-division club Real Academicals in Ghana. The former Polokwane City FC coach had signed a short-term deal with the Ghanaian club.
He won five matches that he was in charge of, drawing two. Academicals fell short of gaining promotion and finished third. The coach landed in South Africa this weekend but declined to comment on the reported interest despite FARPost sources confirming that he is set to return to Ghana to take the position of an assistant coach at one of the big teams.
Moloto says his stint in Ghana was an eye-opener, and he looks ahead to his new challenge. “It was a very good experience, especially my first training [session] where I witnessed close to 100 supporters,” he told FARPost.

“They had just come to watch the training session. With the level of talent of the players, the country’s best talent with big structures with good age, most of them need to be polished and looked after.
“But I enjoyed my days there. It’s sad we failed to reach the playoff spot by just three points difference. It was a very good experience, though, and everyone was happy with my contribution in a short space of time.
“I am looking forward to the new challenge and to growth and look forward to opening more doors for one or two coaches and players,” added Moloto.
