Morena Ramoreboli on the brink of a double after reaching Botswana’s FA Cup final

SA coach Morena Ramoreboli is on the brink of completing a double in Botswana after reaching the league’s Orange FA Cup final with his team, Jwaneng Galaxy.

Morena Ramoreboli continues to cruise nicely in the Botswana Premier League, where his Jwaneng Galaxy sits in pole position with six games remaining before the season ends.

On Saturday the Botswana giants beat UB Hawks 1-0 in the semi-final of the Orange FA Cup. Zimbabwean star Daniel Msendami scored the solitary goal of the match as Ramoreboli’s troops booked a place in the final.

Meanwhile, in the league, they have won 19 matches and drew on three occasions. Two defeats stand out as their blemishes in this campaign. They are on 60 points.

In addition, they are boosted by a healthy goal difference of 28. Township Rollers FC are now eight points behind, with 52 points after playing 24 matches.

Galaxy will face the winner between Tafic FC and Orapa United, who will face-off in the other Orange FA Cup semi-final match.

And as they cruise nicely in the league competition, it is no longer hard to imagine them completing a double this season.

Jwaneng Galaxy have never won the Orange FA Cup final, which has been an automatic ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup.

Gaborone United won the latest edition of the tournament when they beat Orapa United 1-0 in the finals.

DANIEL MSENDAMI CONTINUES TO PROVE HIS WORTH

Though they are out of the tournament, Gaborone United are the record winner. They have won the title nine times since its inception.

Meanwhile, Daniel Msendami continues to prove his worth and that he is worthy of pursuing ahead of the next transfer window.

He scored the goal they needed in the quarter-finals before they won via the penalty lottery. The Zimbabwean is being targeted by SuperSport United and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s TP Mazembe.
