Iqraam Rayners raves about Stellenbosch FC teammate
A Stellenbosch FC teammate has impressed Iqraam Rayners following his performances in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
This upcoming Saturday, May 25th, marks the final round of games for the current league season.
Stellies have been one of the top-performing sides this season depending mostly on their homegrown talents from the academy. This season the Cape Winelands side won their first trophy in the PSL; the Carling Knockout Cup. In addition, they qualified to play in a CAF competition next season for the first time in their history.
In the first team, the Capetonians have academy graduates like Jayden Adams, Devin Titus, Athenkosi Mcaba, Antonio van Wyk and Mervin Boji.
DEVIN TITUS GETS THUMBS UP FROM IQRAAM RAYNERS
Rayners has spoken highly of Titus’ work ethic and consistency. He emphasised the importance of maintaining that momentum to benefit both the player and the team.
The 24-year-old’s dedication on and off the ball has been a key factor in his success and Rayners is happy to see his efforts pay off.
“For me, Devin [Titus] is a hard worker, he’s playing week in, week out,” Rayners told FARPost. “He must just keep the momentum going and be more consistent week in, week out.
“That’s what matters for us as a team also because we do a lot of work off the ball and even on the ball. I’m happy for him.”
With one game left to finish the season, Titus has played 38 matches in all competitions. He has been active in the final third netting 12 goals and has provided three assists. He won the Players’ Player of the Season at the club’s end-of-season awards on Tuesday.
The talented attacker was also named in the Bafana Bafana 36-man preliminary squad to face Nigeria and Zimbabwe for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.
