Chippa United midfielder Majogoro envisions next transfer move

Chippa United midfielder Baraka Majogoro has envisioned his next transfer move following his impressive performances in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

Majogoro has been one of the consistent performers at Chippa since joining the club on a one-year deal in July 2023 from Tanzanian club Mtibwa Sugar.

The highly-rated midfielder has made featured in 19 appearances across all competitions for the Chilli Boys. His passing ability, work rate, and good vision in the middle of the park saw him attract interest from several local teams and on the African continent.

Majogoro has reportedly made it into the wishlist of the two Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. However, the Gqeberha-based side moved swiftly to exercise the option on Majogoro’s contract to keep him beyond the current campaign.

With the July transfer window looming, the 27-year-old has revealed his wishes to play for a league-winning team.

During an interview with FARPost, the holding midfielder was hesitant to disclose if any teams have inquired about his services. “I believe my agent, who has the necessary information, is the one in charge of handling these matters,” he stated.

“I think if there are people who need me, they will be contacting my boss. So if they [interested clubs] are there, my boss will tell me.”

Majogoro further admitted that his dream is to play for a team that challenges for the league championship.

“I think it’s every player’s dream to play for a big team or one day, I will be on a team that wins the league championship,” he added.

The hard-tackling midfielder has formed a formidable combination with Goodman Mosele, who’s on a season-long loan from Pirates.

Mosele played 25 matches in all competitions for Chippa United and collected a handful of Man of the Match awards. The Bafana Bafana international is expected to return to Pirates for the pre-season to prepare for the 2024/25 campaign.
