What completing a double in Botswana will mean for Morena Ramoreboli

After successfully defending the Botswana Premier League title with Jwaneng Galaxy, SA coach Morena Ramoreboli has highlighted what it will mean to complete a double in the current 2023/24 season.

Ramoreboli showed his class once again this campaign as he successfully led Galaxy to winning back-to-back league titles.

This time around, the 2023 Bafana Bafana COSAFA Cup coach can make history for himself by winning two trophies. Galaxy are in the final of the Botswana Orange FA Cup. They will face Orapa United in the final showdown on Saturday, 15 June at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium.

Heading into the match, the reigning Botswana league champions have an upper hand following their dominance over Orapa. In the last day of the season Ramoreboli’s side, defeated Orapa 1-0 and won the title.

Ramoreboli says if he manages to win two titles with Jwaneng Galaxy in a single season it will be a great achievement. It will see him get some recognition as well as respect for the effort he’s putting in coaching.

“I think it will be a great achievement for me and my team. Now we will get some recognition because of the work we’re putting in,” Ramoreboli told FARPost.

“Top coaches around the whole world do win doubles, trebles and dominate their domestic leagues. I would love to see myself there also.

“To dominate the domestic league, it means players, technical team and the management are doing everything in their power to make sure the team is improving.

“We have all it takes to win it, the boys don’t need motivation. They know what’s at stake here, we are ready.”
