Major update on Eva Nga's future at Chippa United

Bienvenu Eva Nga’s contract at Chippa United expires at the end of June and here’s a major update on his future with the club.

The Cameroonian striker rejoined the Chilli Boys in January after a one-and-a-half-year stint at Orlando Pirates, where he struggled for playing time.

He managed just 17 appearances, starting only three times, and scored just one goal during his time with the Buccaneers.

Nga played 17 matches during his time at Pirates, starting only three times and coming from the bench in the rest of the matches.

He managed to rattle the back of the net on debut when they defeated Moroka Swallows 1-0 at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign. That was his first and last goal in the Pirates’ colours.

Following his Pirates exit, he inked a six-month deal and an option to extend for a further year at the end of the season. His deal was going to expire at the end of the season.

But his agent Charles Domingos has confirmed that the striker will stay put at Chippa as the club has triggered the one-year option.

EVA NGA TO STAY PUT AT CHIPPA UNITED

“Eva signed a six-month deal and an option for one year,” Domingos told FARPost. “They have exercised the one year on his contract.”

Nga has impressed in the last six months, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 15 matches he has played both in the DStv Premiership and Nedbank Cup.

Meanwhile, as previously reported by FARPost, the Eastern Cape-based side also extended the contract of their striker Elmo Kambindu and triggered a one-year option on their midfielder Baraka Majogoro.

Kambindu signed for Chippa at the start of the 2022/23 season from CD Costa do Sol. He endured struggles in his first season at the club but has scored five and provided one assist from 19 matches in this campaign.

Meanwhile, Majogoro inked a deal with the Chippa Mpengesi-owned side at the beginning of this campaign from Mtibwa Sugar, signing a one-year deal and an option to extend.
