How Morena Ramoreboli transformed Daniel Msendami’s game at Jwaneng Galaxy

Jwaneng Galaxy star striker Daniel Msendami has revealed how SA coach Morena Ramoreboli transformed his game this season.

Msendami joined the Botswana Premier League giants ahead of the 2022/23 season on loan from Zimbabwe powerhouse Highlanders FC.

At first, it was a loan deal with an option to buy, but after impressive performances, Galaxy signed the attacker permanently.

In the 2023/24 campaign, the 23-year-old played a big role in ensuring that his side successfully retained their league title. In addition, the Jwaneng-based outfit can compete for a double by winning the Orange FA Cup. They’re in the final, and they will face Orapa United on Saturday, 15 June.

The Zimbabwe international was superb in front of goal after finding the back of the net 12 times and turned provider 16 times.

MORENA RAMOREBOLI CHANGED DANIEL MSENDAMI’S STYLE OF PLAY

Msendami says his great form in front of goal was because Ramoreboli changed his style of play, which became more direct.

“Coach Morena [Ramoreboli] improved my game,” Msendami told FARPost. “I used to be a winger that sometimes goes back a lot. Now, I’m very direct in my position going forward.

“You must shoot and be more aggressive, so that made me score more goals. I hope I will continue to score more goals.

“It’s been very interesting [working with coach Morena], he’s helped me a lot, he’s made me who I am today. I now call him my father because he took me when I was nothing.

“He had belief in me and he pushed me when I was down. I’m very happy to be with him and coached by him.”
