Sekhukhune United part ways with Lehlohonolo Seema

In an unexpected turn of events, Sekhukhune United have parted ways with head coach Lehlohonolo Seema.

The decision comes as a surprise to many, as Seema had successfully guided the team to a top-four finish in the DStv Premiership, their highest ever.

Seema also heads out the exit door after being placed on “special leave” last month, just before the 2023/24 season ended, as reported by FARPost.

The coach’s tenure began in November of the previous year, and he quickly turned the team’s fortunes around. Under his leadership, Sekhukhune United displayed impressive performances, securing a spot in the top eight and ultimately achieving a fourth-place finish. They will play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Despite this success, the club has decided to part ways with Seema, with indications of a disagreement between the coach and management. The club appointed MacDonald Makhubedu and Paulos Masehe as interim coaches for the last two fixtures of the season. They are in the middle of a search for a new permanent head coach.
