SA coach Morena Ramoreboli once again showed his masterclass with Jwaneng Galaxy after completing a double in Botswana.
On Saturday afternoon, Ramoreboli’s side were crowned the Orange FA Cup champions after defeating Orapa United 2-1 in the final at a packed Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.
This was the first time in their history Galaxy managed to clinch the FA Cup. Last season, Ramoreboli and Co. ended their campaign in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Three weeks back, the 2023 Bafana Bafana COSAFA Cup coach defied all odds in the Botswana Premier League by successfully defending the Galaxy piece of silverware.
As a result, Ramoreboli has now bagged three titles in the three years he has sent in the neighbouring country.

Galaxy’s victory over Orapa saw them extend their dominance over their opponents. The two sides last met on the last day of the just-ended Botswana domestic league. The Jwaneng-based outfit claimed a slender 1-0 victory to win back-to-back league titles.
It was a tight contest in the first stanza as both teams couldn’t be separated. Therefore, the two finalists went on the break deadlocked at 0-0.
In the second-half, the reigning Botswana league champions went in front just before the hour mark. Attacking midfielder Thero Setsile broke the deadlock in the 58th minute to give Galaxy the lead.
There was drama towards the end of the match as Orapa levelled matters to make it 1-1 in the stoppage time. A few seconds later, Thabang Sesinyi restored Galaxy’s lead, and the match ended.
Following the coach’s success, the club’s management will likely extend the 43-year-old’s contract after winning two trophies in a single season. Ramoreboli’s contract comes to an end in a few weeks time.
Last July, Galaxy triggered a one-year extension after the SA coach guided the team to a league triumph.
