Phathutshedzo Nange and SuperSport United part ways

Midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange has officially parted ways with SuperSport United by mutual agreement.

Nange has been at SuperSport United after leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 32-year-old previously enjoyed a decent spell at Stellenbosch FC under coach Steve Barker before his move to Chiefs. He played in 23 League matches for Stellies with four goals, walking away with a few Man of the Match awards.

The former Black Leopards player also enjoyed his first season at Amakhosi. However, he picked up an injury in his second season, which resulted in limited game time. He reunited with his former coach, Gavin Hunt, whom he worked with at the now-defunct Bidvest Wits and Chiefs.

“Firstly, I want to thank SuperSport for the opportunity that they gave me. For the time that I spent with them. I really appreciate it,” he told FARPost

“All the SuperSport family, management, supporters and all the teammates. I appreciate the time I spent at the club, every moment and minute that I spent with them. Yes, it’s true that we have parted ways after a mutual agreement.

“So that I can look for a team where I can have more minutes. You would recall that I didn’t play much, and I wanted to have more minutes. I would say I really appreciate the time spent there. I enjoyed my time at the club and the opportunity that they gave me.”
