TS Galaxy overhauls squad: 7 departures, 3 new faces

TS Galaxy has undergone a significant squad transformation, with seven players leaving the club and three new faces joining the Rockets pre-season training that kicked off on Sunday.

Several veterans have departed the club, including Bernard Parker and Vuyo Mere. Lindokuhle Mbatha, who struggled for game time last season, has also been released.

Goalkeeper Vasilije Kolak, backup to Fiacre Ntwari, has parted ways with Galaxy, while talented forward Lehlohonolo Mojela has joined Stellenbosch FC. Brazilian midfielder Higor Vidal and winger Orebotse Mongae complete the list of players released by the PSL side.

The seven have not set foot at training since the club returned for preseason.

WHICH 3 NEW FACES WERE AT TS GALAXY THIS WEEK?

TS Galaxy has already secured the signing of striker Victor Letsoalo from AmaZulu FC. Letsoalo had a difficult season with Usuthu, scoring only three goals in 22 appearances.

The club has also welcomed former AmaZulu FC attacking midfielder Siphesihle Maduna, who has been training with the team since the start of pre-season.

Galaxy are closing in on the 24-year-old midfielder following his exit from Cape Town Spurs.
Former Highlands Park and Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper Zama Dlamini is also training with Galaxy.

Meanwhile, head coach Sead Ramovic is expected back from holiday this week to oversee the next couple of weeks of pre-season preparations.

Galaxy are expected to make a couple of signings ahead of the new season. Stellies winger Qobolwakhe Sibanda is tipped to join them.

The revamped TS Galaxy squad will be looking to improve on their performance last season and challenge for silverware in the upcoming campaign.

They lost out on the Carling Knockout Cup last season after being edged by Stellenbosch FC.
With a mix of experienced players and promising young talent, the Rockets are hoping to make a strong impression under the guidance of Ramovic.
