Sekhukhune make strong statement with signing of Thabang Monare & two others

In a move signalling their ambition for the new season, Sekhukhune United have bolstered their squad with the signing of three new players, headlined by experienced midfielder Thabang Monare.

The DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune confirmed the arrival of the Bafana Bafana international Monare on Friday afternoon.

In addition, the 2022 Nedbank Cup finalists also announced the acquisitions of goalkeeper Loydt Kazapua and left-back Vuyo Letlapa.

Monare, 34, joins the side as a free agent after being released by Orlando Pirates at the end of last campaign.

The experienced midfielder struggled for game time at Pirates under the tutelage of Jose Riveiro in the last term, having only featured in 11 matches in the league.

SEKHUKHUNE UNITED BOLSTER SQUAD WITH NAMIBIAN INTERNATIONAL LOYDT KAZAPUA

Goalkeeper, Kazapua, has signed for Sekhukhune after cutting ties with Chippa United.

The Namibian international only made five appearances across all competitions for the Chilli Boys last season. He faced tough competition from the Nigerian shot-stopper Standley Nwabali, who was one of the standout performers at Chippa last season.

Meanwhile, Babina Noko also confirmed the acquisition of defender Vuyo Letlapa from Jomo Cosmos. The rising star was linked with a move to Europe after his impressive displays in Cosmos colours in the SAFA Gauteng ABC Motsepe League.
