Pogiso Sanoka set to join SuperSport United after TS Galaxy farewell

Pogiso Sanoka has bid farewell to his TS Galaxy teammates and is on the verge of joining SuperSport United, according to sources at FARPost.

The 32-year-old defender said his goodbyes to the Rockets on Friday, signalling the end of his tenure with the club.

Sanoka is expected to join SuperSport on a short-term deal, with an official announcement imminent.

This move comes as SuperSport recently parted ways with defenders Siyanda Xulu and Abdulrazack Mohamed Hamza. The latter has already been unveiled by Simba SC in Tanzania, where he will work with newly appointed coach Fadlu Davids.

Sanoka’s departure from TS Galaxy marks the end of a chapter that began in the second half of the 2020/21 season when he joined from Maritzburg United.

In Galaxy colours, he missed out on a milestone, a century of appearances, as he played 99 games for the club as per Transfermarkt.

His experience and defensive prowess will likely be valuable assets for SuperSport United as they look to bolster their squad.

TS Galaxy in Transition

Several experienced players have waved goodbye to TS Galaxy. Bernard Parker and Vuyo Mere, stalwarts of the team, are among those departing. Lindokuhle Mbatha, who saw limited playing time last season, has also been released.

The changes extend to the goalkeeping department, with backup Vasilije Kolak moving on. Talented forward Lehlohonolo Mojela has found a new home at Stellenbosch FC. Brazilian midfielder Higor Vidal and winger Orebotse Mongae round out the list of departures for the PSL side. Notably, none of the seven players have been present at training since the club’s pre-season began on Sunday.

In addition, Galaxy have already bolstered their attack with striker Victor Letsoalo. They’ve also have midfielder Siphesihle Maduna, who’s been training with the team. Goalkeeper Zama Dlamini is also on trial.
