JDR attacker leaves the club in search of greener pastures

FARPost can confirm that JDR Stars have lost one of their valuable attackers Banele Hlophe, who has left the club in search of greener pastures.
‘Makhanya’, as he is popularly known within the football circles, served JDR for almost three years.
In the just-concluded Motsepe Foundation Championship, he put in a good shift for JDR, playing in 24 games, scoring two goals and contributing eight assists.
The talented attacking midfielder helped his side finish fifth in the SA second tier with 46 points from 30 outings.
Sadly, JDR couldn’t qualify for the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs as they missed out on that opportunity with only one point behind Baroka FC, who finished third on the table.

BANELE HLOPHE CUT TIES WITH JDR STARS FOR BETTER OPPORTUNITY
This publication has been reliably informed Hlophe is now a free agent after being handed his clearance.
Hlophe is leaving JDR to seek a new challenge in his football career. The player is aiming for a move to the DStv Premiership.
JDR were keen to renew the 23-year-old footballer’s contract when it ended in June 2024. But the player succumbed to a decision to search for greener pastures elsewhere ahead of the new season.
ANOTHER PLAYER THAT HAS LEFT JDR STARS AHEAD OF THE NEW SEASON
Another player who has left JDR already is playmaker Ntiyiso Bombi. He joined the side after cutting ties with Baroka FC in January 2024.
Bombi is currently training with the DStv Premiership side TS Galaxy, as the club aims to bolster their squad for the upcoming season with quality players.
According to FARPost sources, the Rockets are keen to offer Bombi a deal. This is because the club parted ways with seven players a few days ago.
