Chippa announce four more signings ahead of the new season

DStv Premiership side Chippa United have reinforced their squad by announcing four more signings ahead of the new season.

Chippa are in the restructuring phase following a massive clear-out towards the end of June. The club made a huge decision to part ways with 16 players.

They have been one of the busiest teams in the current transfer window, signing and releasing a bunch of players. They acquired the services of former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star Andile Jali, winger Giovanni Philander and Aphelele Teto on loan from Scottish-based club Livingston FC.

It seems their squad revamp is an attempt to improve the team’s performance from last season. The Gqeberha-based outfit finished in the bottom half, 12th. They only managed to register eight victories, 10 draws, and 12 defeats.
