“Mamelodi Sundowns is a great team, ambitious, and always aiming for the top,” said Kodisang.
Kodisang made his professional debut at now-defunct Platinum Stars in 2015/16 at the age of 15. He spent two years with the club before making the move to the now-defunct BidVest Wits.
His European break came in 2018 when he moved to Sanjoanense in Portugal. He moved back to Wits after one season before securing a move to SC Braga B.
SOUTH AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL RETURNS AFTER A FEW YEARS ABROAD
His last stint was at Portuguese Premier League side Moreirense. He made 31 appearances, with 19 starts, last season, with a single goal. The 24-year-old made a huge impact during his first season at the club scoring 11 goals in 25 starts to help them gain promotion. He gained one cap for Bafana Bafana during a friendly match against Namibia in September last year.
His signing comes a day after the club confirmed the departure of Junior Mendieta. Mendieta has joined Greek Super League club Volos FC, a season after he joined Masandawana.
The midfielder has represented South Africa at the junior level for the under 17/20 and 23 sides. These include the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
He joined a Sundowns side that recently had a major shake-up in their technical and playing personnel. They parted ways with coach Rulani Mokwena and have reappointed Steve Komphela as a senior coach. The club also parted ways with players such as Bongani Zungu, Brian Onyango, Thabiso Kutumela and Gaston Sirino.
