DONE DEAL: Siphesihle Maduna completes TS Galaxy move

TS Galaxy have strengthened their midfield by completing the signing of former AmaZulu FC midfielder Siphesihle Maduna.

The 24-year-old midfielder secured a new home at the Rockets after parting ways with Cape Town Spurs who suffered relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Limited playing opportunities restricted him at Urban Warriors, as he only managed seven appearances across all competitions last season.

He will be aiming to make a powerful return in order to rediscover the top form he displayed when he was playing for AmaZulu.

Upon departing the Durban-based outfit at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, he had accumulated 87 appearances, netting seven goals and contributing six assists.

OTHER NEW FACES AT TS GALAXY

Maduna isn’t the only new face at the club, with former Highlands Park and Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper Zama Dlamini also training with the team.

Meanwhile, Galaxy have also signed Victor Letsoalo from AmaZulu FC, while Stellenbosch winger Qobolwakhe Sibanda is reportedly set to join the club.

Dlamini, a 32-year-old goalkeeper, is seeking to find a new team following his departure from Spurs. In the previous season, he featured in five matches and conceded eight goals.

If he were to be included in the squad, he would become part of the goalkeeping team alongside Fiacre Ntwari and Wensten van der Linde. The departure of Vasilije Kolak from the club may open up an opportunity for him to step in as a replacement.

Meanwhile, Letsoalo departed Usuthu after a one-season stay, rattling the back of the net on three occasions in 22 matches that he played.

With Samir Nurkovic’s future at Gallants up in the air, Letsoalo seems to be coming in as a potential replacement. AmaZulu were reportedly interested in signing the ex-Kaizer Chiefs forward, but the deal did not materialize.

TS Galaxy have bid farewell to some of their players including captain Pogiso Sanoka, Kolak, Higor Vidal, Orebotse Mongae and Lindokuhle Mbatha.
