Kaizer Chiefs reveal contract details of coach Nasreddine Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs have officially revealed the contract details of their new head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, who takes over the coaching reins from departed interim coach Cavin Johnson.

The former Yanga and ASFAR coach has agreed to join the DStv Premiership heavyweight on a two-year deal, with an option to extend it by one year.

Nabi has vast experience as he holds a UEFA Pro coaching licence. He also brought in a new technical alongside him who has served in elite leagues across the continent.

The 58-year-old mentor previously worked in Libya, DR Congo, Egypt, Sudan, UAE, Tanzania and, Morocco before joining Amakhosi in South Africa.

Nabi has won numerous titles with different teams in his coaching career, with the biggest trophy he has ever won being the CAF Confederation Cup title with FC Leopards in Congo.

KAIZER MOTAUNG JR: ‘WE BELIEVE WE HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT MAN’

The club’s sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jr, insists that they have found the right candidate in Nabi, whom they believe will be able to lead the Glamour Boys to the promised land.

“After what has been a fairly exhaustive vetting process, it gives us great pleasure to finally welcome our new head coach to Kaizer Chiefs,” said Motaung Jr.

“We believe we have found the right man to fulfil our vision of restoring Amakhosi to our rightful place at the top of the football pyramid, and we welcome coach Nabi and his technical team with the pledge of unity and support in pursuit of our common goal.”

WHO WILL BE ASSISTING NASREDDINE NABI AT KAIZER CHIEFS

Nabi will be assisted by Khalil Ben Youssef [first assistant], Fernando Da Cruz [second assistant], Ilyes Mzoughi [goalkeeping coach], and Safi Majdi [strength and conditioning coach and assistant coach].

The new Amakhosi technical team have already got down to business in Türkiye where the club is currently based for their pre-season training camp.
