SuperSport United announce the signing of Pogiso Sanoka

SuperSport United have announced the signing of TS Galaxy defender Pogiso Sanoka for the 2024/25 DStv Premiership season.

Sanoka was one of the outstanding performers for Galaxy last season as they finished sixth on the log standings.

The Rockets won 12 league matches in the previous campaign, drew eight and lost 10 times in 30 matches. They collected 44 points which was enough to seal a top-eight finish.

TS Galaxy also came close to lifting a domestic trophy after making it to the final of the inaugural Carling Knockout Cup. However, they lost 5-4 on penalties against Stellenbosch FC in December 2023.

Meanwhile, SuperSport United have snapped up Sanoka to beef up their defence for the upcoming season. The experienced centre-back will add depth to the backline after Matsatsantsa parted ways with Siyanda Xulu and Keegan Allan.

Xulu spent one season at SuperSport after signing on a free transfer at the start of last season while Allan left after just six months with the club.

Allan joined the Tshwane-based side during the 2024 January transfer window after leaving the cash-strapped Moroka Swallows who has since sold their top-flight status to Marumo Gallants.

SUPERSPORT UNITED SIGN SANOKA ON TWO-YEAR DEAL

SuperSport confirmed that Sanoka has signed a two-year deal with an option to renew for a further year.

In addition, the Spartans are expected to welcome more new signings to build a competitive squad ahead of the new season.

Nyiko Mobbie and Vincent Pule are some of the players who are on the verge of completing their moves to the club.
