TS Galaxy confirm eight new signings

DStv Premiership side TS Galaxy have confirmed the signing of five new players ahead of the much-anticipated 2024/25 season.

The Rockets are beefing up their squad to build a competitive squad that will compete in four domestic competitions next season. These competitions are the league, Carling Knockout Cup, MTN8 and Nedbank Cup

Galaxy finished sixth in the Premiership log standings in the previous campaign under head coach Sead Ramovic. In 30 matches, they won 12, drew 8, and lost 10. In the process, they accumulated 44 points, which was enough to secure a top-eight finish.

The Mpumalanga-based outfit made it to the final of the inaugural 2023 Carling Knockout Cup, losing 5-4 on penalties against Stellenbosch FC in December 2023.

TS GALAXY ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNINGS

With TS Galaxy aiming to maintain their good form in the SA’s top-flight, they announced the signing of Qobolwakhe Sibande, Victor Letsoalo, Thamsanqa Masiya, Siphesihle Maduna, Khulumani Ndamane, Ntiyiso Bombi, Jegbay Morris, and Emanuel Seih.

This is after the club parted ways with players such as Lindokuhle Mbatha, Pogiso Sanoka, Bernard Parker, Fiacre Ntwari, Lehlogonolo Mojela, Vuyo Mere, Vasilije Kolak, Higo Vidal, and Orebotse Mongae.

Veterans Bernard Parker and Vuyo Mere have been offered jobs to coach the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side in the upcoming season.

Interestingly, Sanoka, Mojela, and Ntwari left Galaxy for greener pastures within the DStv Premiership. Sanoka and Mojela joined SuperSport United and Stellenbosch FC, respectively, while Ntwari completed a huge move to Kaizer Chiefs.

The Rwandan goalkeeper is Amakhosi’s second signing in the current transfer window, following the signing of Orlando Pirates defender Bongani Sam.

Chiefs are expected to make more signings as they take a new direction under the new coach, Nasreddine Nabi.

The Tunisian tactician has brought a breath of fresh air to the Chiefs camp. He arrived with two assistant coaches, Khalil Ben Youssef and Fernando Da Cruz. Ilyes Mzoughi and Safi Majdi serve as goalkeeper and conditioning coaches, respectively.
