SuperSport United sign Bafana Bafana duo
SuperSport United have confirmed the signing of the Bafana Bafana duo of Nyiko Mobbie and Ricardo Goss ahead of the new PSL season.
The talented defender, Mobbie, joins Matsatsantsa on a two-year permanent deal with an option to renew for another season.
Meanwhile, Bafana goalkeeper Ricardo Goss rejoins the club on a new two-year loan spell.
The pair joins Matsatsantsa from cross-town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns. In recent years, the two Tshwane clubs have had a good relationship in terms of transfers.
Mobbie, who joins the Gavin Hunt-coached side on a permanent deal, signed for Sundowns July 2019 from the now-defunct Free State.
Sadly, since Mobbie joined Masandawana, he has been sent out on loan deals at teams such as Stellenbosch FC, Chippa United, and most recently Sekhukhune United.
Last season, the Bafana defender featured in 35 games across all competitions for Babina Noko, showing how important he was for the Limpopo club.
He helped them finish in position four in the DStv Premiership with 45 points from 30 outings. As a result, Sekhukhune managed to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup for the second time in a row.
ANOTHER LOAN SPELL FOR RICARDO GOSS
Goss returns to Matsatsantsa for another two seasons loan deal from the Brazilians, having joined SuperSport in July 2022.
In the last term, the shot-stopper participated in 32 matches in all competitions for SuperSport and kept nine clean sheets in the process.
Goss will be hoping to continue where he left of last season by adding the much-needed experience to SuperSport’s goalkeeping department in the upcoming campaign.
