Marumo Gallants make decision on Edwin Gyimah
Former Sekhukhune United defender Edwin Gyimah has stopped training with Marumo Gallants, FARPost has learnt.
This comes after the 33-year-old reportedly failed to impress during his trials at the club.
As this publication had reported earlier, Gyimah together with Nicholus Lukhubeni, Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Kgotso Moleko were training with the club for assessment.
WHAT DECISION HAVE MARUMO GALLANTS TAKEN ON EDWIN GYIMAH?
While the other three players are still training with the club, this publication has established that Gyimah has not been at the club’s training round for the past few days.
“It looks like the guy will not be joining this season. He has left here,” said a mole.
The Ghanaian was released by Sekhukhune after spending three seasons at the club. Despite enjoying regular game time in his first two seasons, Gyimah struggled with game time last season.
As FARPost reported, former AmaZulu FC defender Veluyeke Zulu started training with the club on Thursday. Zulu recently joined the club on a one-year deal with a one-year extension.
There have been talks about a mass exit of players from the club under new coach Dylan Kerr. This could see players who were part of the squad in the Motsepe Foundation Championship leaving the club.
As it stands the club is yet to finalise the squad list ahead of the season due to a number of trialists at the club. Kerr’s technical team has also not been confirmed, but FARPost has established that Mpho Maleka, Rodney Thobejane and Stanford Nkoane.
VETERAN COMMUNICATOR SELLO NDUNA RETURNS TO THE FOOTBALL FRATERNITY

“Welcome Sello Nduna as Spokesperson for Marumo Gallants. We are happy to welcome Sello Nduna as the new spokesperson for Marumo Gallants FC. Originally from Bloemfontein, Sello has a wealth of experience within the media field,” the club said.
