Sekhukhune United announce two more signings

DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United have continued bolstering their squad ahead of the new season by making two more signings.

Buoyed by their historic fourth-place finish last season, Sekhukhune are making waves in the transfer window. The club’s ambition is clear – to push even further and reach new heights in the upcoming campaign.

They also brought in a new coach, Peter Hyballa, after parting ways with Lehlohonolo Seema despite the coach doing well last season.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Sekhukhune ended their campaign in the group stages, then were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup in the Last 16. In the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup, they ended their campaigns in the quarter-finals.

Already they have acquired the services of Njabulo Ngcobo, Joseph Mphaga, Keletso Makgalwa, Relebogile Mokhuoane, Thabang Monare, Loydt Kazapua and Vuyo Letlapa.

Also, they have restructured the team, parting ways with some players. The players who have left the club include Ntokozo Mtsweni, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Lebogang Mabotja, Tshepo Rikhotso, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Edwin Gyimah, Collins Makgaka, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Michael Sarpong, Tashreeq Morris, Thamsanqa Masiya, Rally Bwalya, Molousane Mokhele, and Nyiko Mobbie.

The club took to social media to announce the signing of Andy Bobwa Boyeli and Kenneth Sikhosonke Langa.

Boyeli is a young striker from DR Congo. The 23-year-old joins the club from Zambian giants Power Dynamos FC. He brings a lot of attack experience, having played in the continental’s elite club football competition, the CAF Champions League.

The goalpoacher will compete with Chibuike Ohizu for a place in the starting line-up.

As for Langa, the talented left-back links with Sekhukhune from Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria. The fullback was part of the AmaTuks team that reached the PSL Promotional/Relegation playoffs last season.
