Ex-Moroka Swallows striker spotted at PSL side
Former Moroka Swallows striker Daniel Gozar is training with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda FC.
Gozar was last in the books of the Turkish Cypriot side Kucuk Kaymakli Turk S.K after his contract at Swallows was terminated in June 2023.
FARPost has established that the Ghanaian challenged the decision by Swallows and had to be compensated.
Despite signing a two-year deal in Cyprus, Gozar has now returned to South Africa. He was in action for Venda FC during their friendly against Baroka on Saturday. He scored one of the goals for the side as they prepare for the new season.

Gozar is not new to the Limpopo province. He spent a season on loan to Black Leopards in the 2021/22 season. He featured in 15 games in all competitions for the club. Gozar arrived in the PSL back in August 2019 when he joined Free State Stars from Ashanti Gold in Ghana.
Another player who was spotted in action for VFC was Syabonga Dubula. The midfielder spent the past season at fellow Motsepe Foundation Championship side JDR Stars. Dubula previously had stints at clubs such as TS Sporting, Free State Stars and Mbombela United.
VENDA FC SHOWS FAITH IN COACH DUNCAN LECHESA AHEAD OF THE NEW SEASON
Meanwhile, coach Duncan Lechesa is poised to continue with the reins for the next season. The former Motsepe Foundation Championship-winning coach joined the club in the middle of last season. Despite a slow start during his tenure, Lechesa finished the season unbeaten in the last six matches.
Meanwhile, former Dondol Stars coach Khuliso Rashamuse remains Lechesa’s right-hand man. Rashamuse joined the club late last season. Venda FC are yet to officially unveil their new signings for the season or announce any changes.
