Leopards in-demand striker returns to training

Black Leopards have reiterated their stance on the future of the sought-after striker Bethuel Muzeu as the Namibian international returned to training on Monday.

Muzeu rejoined his Leopards teammates after an extended break due to his participation in the COSAFA Cup tournament.

The 24-year-old has reportedly caught the eye of some big teams in the DStv Premiership as well as outside the country.

The Namibian was impressive during the AFCON Tournament in January. He also scored three goals during the recently concluded COSAFA Tournament in Gqeberha.

WHAT IS BLACK LEOPARDS STANCE ON IN-DEMAND STRIKER BETHUEL MUZEU?

“Mzeu is still with the team. Of course, there are offers, teams that have knocked,” club spokesperson Lucky Tshilimandila told FARPost.

“But so far, he is still with us because he still has a contract. That’s why he is preparing for the next season. He is here. But as Black Leopards we always allow players to go and flourish somewhere.

You can name them from the likes of Tiyani Mabunda, Hlompho Kekana, Khuliso Mudau, and Lesedi Kapinga, you can name them. It’s a whole lot of players,” he said.

MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP SIDE SAY THEY ARE STILL OPEN TO OFFERS FOR STAR PLAYER

“If there are any tangible offers because this is a national team player for Namibia,” added Tshilimandila.

“So we can’t stand on his way, but if he doesn’t go anywhere this season and we get promoted, I am sure he would also like to remain here because we would be playing in the elite league. But if there are offers that are suitable, we can’t stand in his way.”

As FARPost earlier reported, club all-time leading goalscorer Mwape Musonda is also training with the club. There is a possibility of Musonda rejoining the club ahead of the new season.
