Gallants rope in new technical team members including ex-Pirates goalie

FARPost has established that Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants have roped in new technical team members including a former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.

The club, returning to the SA elite league after purchasing the status of Moroka Swallows, is assembling a squad ahead of the new PSL season, which kicks off on 3 August.

Dylan Kerr remains the head coach, but the club has not announced his support staff. This publication has previously reported that Mpho Maleka will be the assistant coach. This comes after Kerr’s interview with some local publications.

This publication has established that former Casric Stars coach Sundra Govender is set to join the club as an assistant coach. Govender was appointed coach at Casric in October last year. He guided the club to a seventh finish, missing out on a promotion playoffs spot by four points.

Physical trainer Dino Rangaka has also joined the club in the same capacity, FARPost has learnt. Rangaka was part of the North-West University’s Soccer Institute before moving to now-defunct Moroka Swallows last season.
