Mamelodi Sundowns recall Erwin Saavedra from loan spell
Mamelodi Sundowns have brought back Erwin Saavedra from his loan spell after the midfielder completed a six-month stint with Club Bolivar.
The 28-year-old signed with Sundowns in the middle of the 2021/22 season, but he faced difficulties securing a spot in the starting line-up. He featured in eight matches for the Tshwane-giants, starting only on two occasions.
He then picked up a long-term injury which kept him on the sidelines for quite some time. Upon his return, the club decided to loan him to his previous club, Bolivar with the agreement stipulating December 2024 as the end of the loan spell.
However, the Brazilians have summoned back the midfielder as they continue to strengthen the team in preparation for the forthcoming season.
