CLINTON LARSEN GETTING THE SENIOR TEAM READY FOR THEIR DEBUT SEASON IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP

Meanwhile, the coach of the senior team, Clinton Larsen, says his troops have been involved in intense training as they gear up for their first match in the SA elite league against Sekhukhune United on 14 September.

“We have had five weeks of intense pre-season training, and we also got the news that there is a delay in the kick-off of the league,” said Larsen during the unveiling of new players.

“So now we have to readjust our periodisation leading to 14 September. But in terms of readiness, you are never ready until that first game is played.

“Even after that, from my playing experience, I know that it takes the team three to five games to find its rhythm and get match fit. So it takes some time. But in saying so, you still want to get the results during that period as well.”
