Polokwane City confirm new signings

Polokwane City FC head coach Phuti Mohafe has confirmed some new signings ahead of their MTN8 quarter-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Rise and Shine will take on Masandawana at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in the last of the four quarter-final matches on Sunday afternoon.

The club has been quiet in the current transfer window period despite some of their key players being linked with moves to other clubs. Oswin Appolis and Thabang Matuludi remain the talk of the Town, with speculation of moves to Gauteng teams.

Midfielder Manuel Kambala was also rumoured to be heading to his native country in Mozambique. But the 32-32-year-old is set to remain at the club at least for another season.

Mohafe has since confirmed the signing of Raymond Daniels from Hungry Lions and Bonginkosi Dlamini from relegated Platinum City Rovers. Mohafe has also hinted that there could be other players that will be introduced against Sundowns.

COACH PHUTI MOHAFE HAS CONFIRMED THE TWO NEW SIGNINGS BY RISE AND SHINE

“We have Raymond Daniels from Hungry Lions. We also have Bonginkosi Dlamini from Platinum City Rovers,”
said Mohafe. “The rest you will see on the day of the match. They are likely to feature.”

Mohafe says he is pleased that the players rumoured with moves away are still focused on the club. The CAF B license holder believes all the players will remain at the club until the end of the season.

“For me to still see them here gives me the hope that we will start and finish the season with them,” he said.

“So I hope that they will still stay put with Polokwane City regardless of the rumours linking them with a move away. I am so happy that they are here, and their progress still lies with Polokwane City.”
