TEBOHO MOKOENA SIGN FIVE-YEAR DEAL WITH SUNDOWNS

Mokoena, a rock at the heart of the Sundowns midfield, has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.

Since joining Sundowns from SuperSport United in 2022, Mokoena has been a revelation. His defensive prowess, attacking instincts, a knack for long-range goals, and good passing ability have been pivotal to the PSL champions’ success.

“We are delighted to confirm that midfielder Teboho Mokoena has signed a contract extension until 2029,” reads the club statement. The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana midfielder’s new contract comes after media reports linked him with lucrative offers from the Gulf region.

At Sundowns, Mokoena has already established himself as a leader, captaining the side on several occasions. He has made 92 appearances, contributing with nine goals and seven assists.

Both Mokoena and Zwane have added individual accolades to their impressive resumes, having each been crowned PSL Footballer of the Season.
