Marumo Gallants bolster defence with Tshepo Rikhotso signing

In an effort to solidify their backline, Marumo Gallants have secured the services of defender Tshepo Rikhotso on a two-year-deal. On Wednesday, FARPost reported that Rikhotso has been training with the Betway Premiership side in the past weeks following his departure from Sekhukhune United.

The defender decided to end his relationship with Babina Noko in search of minutes, having joined the Limpopo club in July 2023. The 31-year-old only played 10 games across all competitions for Sekhukhune last season. His deal with Babina Noko was supposed to end in June 2025.

WHAT DECISION HAVE MARUMO GALLANTS TAKEN?

This publication can reveal that the Bloemfontein-based outfit have decided to rope in the talented defender to their setup as the new season edges closer. To top it off, this website can confirm that Rikhotso’s deal has an option to extend for another season.

The versatile player who can play both as a centre-back and a full-back is set to add options to Gallants’ defence under the tutelage of Dan Malesela, who returned to the club for his third stint. The ex-Sekhukhune man comes highly recommended, having had his share fair of play for teams such as Stellenbosch FC, Bloemfontein Celtic and Royal AM.
