‘WE WANT TO CONTINUE THE MOMENTUM’, SAYS SAFA PRESIDENT DR. DANNY JORDAAN

Meanwhile, SAFA president Dr. Danny Jordaan has encouraged football fanatics to fill up Orlando Stadium. He insists that they should replicate the scenes of Toyota Stadium. Bafana defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June 2024 at a fully-packed stadium in Bloemfontein.

Their impressive win against ‘The Warriors in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers will serve as a morale booster going into the Uganda clash, as Mzansi aim to book a spot for the 2025 AFCON tournament.

“Please come out in numbers and make it count in the stands. We want to continue the momentum and the amazing scenes we saw in Bloemfontein when we faced Zimbabwe in June. We want to see the same at Orlando Stadium,” stated the SAFA president.

Hugo Broos’ charges will travel to South Sudan to play their second match of the qualifiers after their showdown with Uganda in South Africa.

Bafana will take on South Sudan on Tuesday, 10 September 2024. The kickoff time will be confirmed in due course.
