Kaizer Jr reveals what makes Inacio Miguel a perfect fit for Chiefs

Kaizer Motaung Jr has shed light on Kaizer Chiefs’ latest signing, Inacio Miguel, revealing the defender’s qualities that make him a perfect fit for the Soweto giants.

As first reported by FARPost two weeks ago, Chiefs officially announced the signing of Angolan international Inacio Miguel on Wednesday.

Inacio Miguel arrived in South Africa on Tuesday afternoon to undergo his medicals before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with ‘The Glamour Boys’.

The 28-year-old centre-back is the first Angolan international to sign for Amakhosi’s first team as the club looks to return to the top of SA football with their trophy cabinet gathering dust for the last nine years.

In addition, Inacio Miguel is Chiefs’ fifth new arrival at Naturena during the current transfer window, joining Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam, and Gaston Sirino, who have all signed with the club in recent weeks.

Inacio Miguel, a key figure in Petro de Luanda’s CAF Champions League campaign and Angolan league title triumph last campaign, brings a formidable combination of physical strength, aerial ability, and technical skill to his game.

The Portuguese-born defender averaged 1.5 tackles and 3.2 clearances per game in the 2023/24 season, showcasing his defensive prowess. Beyond his defensive duties, Inacio’s composure and accurate passing contribute to his team’s build-up play, a vital aspect of head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s system.

His disciplined approach is reflected in his clean disciplinary record, with only three yellow cards and no red cards last season.

KAIZER JR PRAISES MIGUEL AS IDEAL SIGNING FOR AMAKHOSI

Inacio’s experience in the CAF Champions League and stints in Latvia and Romania demonstrate his versatility and adaptability, making him well-prepared for the challenges of the PSL.

The Amakhosi sporting director, Kaizer Jr, described the defender as a passionate player who embodies the club’s spirit, making him a perfect fit for Amakhosi.

“We are happy to have a player of Inacio Miguel’s calibre join our team,” said Kazier Jr. “We’ve watched him and believe his experience, skill, and passion for the game embody the spirit of Kaizer Chiefs and will add a lot of positives in the team.

“We believe that he will contribute significantly with his talent and are looking forward to working with him as he writes another chapter of his career in South Africa.”
