FC Cincinnati are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference, eight points behind Inter Miami.

The Major League Soccer transfer window closed on August 14, but clubs are allowed to sign free agents until September 13.

And Hadebe is one of the free agents headed to FC Cincinnati, an American publication, Give Me Sport has revealed.

If the deal sails through, the 28-year-old will return to America having previously played for Houston Dynamo.

Hadebe’s contract with Houston Dynamo lapsed at the end of December 2023, ending his three-year stay at the club. He joined Houston Dynamo in 2021 after his first in Turkey. The 28-year-old was part of the team that won the 2023 US Open Cup title, defeating Inter Miami in the final.

Hadebe, though, was affected by a nagging knee injury that restricted him to 16 appearances in all 2023 competitions. All in all, the gangly centre-back made 56 appearances with the Dynamo.

Prior to that, Hadebe excelled in Turkey with Malatyaspor. He broke through with South African club Kaizer Chiefs.

Meanwhile, he made the cut into Zimbabwe’s squad to play in the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

The Warriors are set to face Kenya and Cameroon in the qualifiers. Both their matches are pencilled to be played in Uganda early next month.
