Two highly-rated PSL stars included in Nigerian squad

Two highly-rated PSL stars have been called up to the Nigerian 23-man squad that will face off against Benin and Rwanda in the AFCON qualifiers.

The FIFA international break will commence next week, with African nations vying for positions in the 2025 AFCON, which will take place in Morocco.

The Super Eagles are eager to rebound after their disappointing performances in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where they drew against South Africa and suffered a defeat to Benin in June.

Following his appointment as the head coach of the Nigerian national team, Bruno Labbadia revealed a team of 23 players, which includes Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah and Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali for the forthcoming matches.

While Nwabali has earned trust as Nigeria’s number one man between the posts, Ndah has two national team caps having made his debut in 2021 under the tutelage of Gernot Rohr.
