TS Galaxy eyeing ex-Cape Town City DDC star Sihle Doyiza

TS Galaxy is currently assessing the potential addition of Sihle Doyiza, a former standout player from the Cape Town City FC DDC team, to their roster.

The 21-year-old left-back, who was seen training with the Betway Premiership side and playing in their recent 3-0 friendly victory against Kaizer Chiefs, is reportedly looking to secure a move to the Rockets.

Doyiza was introduced late in the second half with Galaxy already leading 3-0 as they continued to run the rule over him. His contract with CT City expired in June, and he chose not to renew it, opening the door for a potential transfer.

His impressive cameo against Chiefs, a match in which TS Galaxy dominated, has only fuelled speculation about his future.

Doyiza is described as a modern full-back who fits seamlessly into today’s tactical systems. Whether deployed as a wing-back or a traditional left-back in a four-man defence, he possesses the versatility and skill set to excel. His high energy levels allow him to contribute significantly to both attack and defence, making him a valuable asset on the pitch.

SIHLE DOYIZA JOURNEY FROM HUSTLERS TO THE PSL

His football journey began at a Soweto team called Hustlers before he joined the Citizens’ development system five years ago. He first trained with the City senior team in 2021 alongside Kaka Sifumba.

Now, with his contract at CT City expired, Doyiza is eager to take the next step in his career. TS Galaxy, under the guidance of coach Sead Ramovic, presents an attractive destination for the young full-back.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy’s DDC striker Thokozani Sibanyoni was on target against Amakhosi on Thursday. Chiefs’ academy graduate, Puso Dithejane, and Siphiwe Mahlangu, scored the other goals.

Sibanyoni has one foot in the senior team and could feature this season. The Rockets have bolstered their squad with the addition of several new players.

They include Ira Tape Eliezer, Qobolwakhe Sibande, Victor Letsoalo, Thamsanqa Masiya, Siphesihle Maduna, Khulumani Ndamane. The list also has Ntiyiso Bombi, Jegbay Morris, and Emanuel Seih.
