Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sammy Seabi appears poised to leave the club permanently, with his representatives currently in discussions with ‘The Brazilians.
The 29-year-old has been in the books of the Tshwane giants since 2019, joining from Polokwane City FC during Pitso Mosimaneโs tenure.
During his time at Chloorkop, he has had three loan spells at the now-defunct Moroka Swallows, Chippa United and Sekhukhune United.
Last season, Seabi made only four league appearances despite Sundowns participating in six competitions, including the CAF Champions League.
The playerโs agent, Mike Makaab, revealed to this website that they have been in talks with Sundowns to facilitate a permanent move for the midfielder.
They are hoping that the player completes the transfer prior to the closure of the PSL transfer window on 20 September.

SAMMY SEABIโS AGENT GIVES UPDATE ON THE PLAYERโS FUTURE
โWe are still busy talking to Mamelodi Sundowns, but both the club and ourselves are on the same page. We donโt think another loan move for Sammy would be the right thing,โ Makaab told FARPost.
โWeโve got to get Sammyโs career back on track, and you know that as well as Sammy has done when heโs gone on loan, Iโm sure youโll agree that itโs very difficult for a football player to be on loan and feel that they belong.
โIโm hoping that before the closing of the window we would have resolved this issue. It doesnโt benefit any of us for Sammy to go on loan.
โAnd for me, that would be, letโs say, the last price. If we have to because itโs good for the player, we will do that. But preferably, weโd like to look at something outright.โ
Makaab added that they have initiated discussions with some clubs and are awaiting potential interest.
โWe have already engaged a number of clubs; we are just waiting for a potential interest,โ he continued.
