Mphahlele issues feedback on meeting with Baroka’s technical team

Baroka FC boss Khurishi Mphahlele has provided feedback on the ‘crucial meeting’ he held with coach Morgan Mammila and his technical team on Monday.

As FARPost had earlier reported, Mammila and his technical team were summoned to a meeting following their poor results in the opening two matches of the 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship season.

The club currently languish in the bottom three with one point, a position that chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has openly expressed his displeasure about.

In an interview with this publication after the meeting, Mphahlele outlined the way forward for Baroka head coach Mammila and his technical team.

“We have asked for match reports from the two games because they were not good at all,” Mphahlele told FARPost.

“So I have given them until Friday so they can submit that match report. That match report will tell me if we have people who can take us somewhere or not.”

BAROKA FC BOSS ISSUES APOLOGY TO THE CLUB STAKEHOLDERS FOLLOWING THE BAD START TO THE SEASON

“To my supporters, the Limpopo football fraternity and our sponsors, I can only apologise,” added Mphahlele.

“I did not see this coming until we started the league. During the off-season, I was concerned about the performance of the team, and I was not happy.

“I did tell the coach that I was not happy with how we were playing. But I can only apologise to the supporters because our aim is to take this team to the next level. We don’t want to take this team backwards because right now the way we are going, we are going backwards unless something very drastic happens and very quick.”

Due to the FIFA International break, Baroka will now have two weeks to prepare for their next league match against Hungry Lions.
