Why Appollis & Matuludi can’t leave PLK City at the same time

Polokwane City FC coach Phuti Mohafe has explained why the club cannot lose both Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi in the current transfer window period.

Appollis, who has become a regular feature in the Bafana Bafana squad under Hugo Broos, has been one of the players expected to secure a move in the current transfer window.

Algerian Champions MC Alger are said to have won the race for the 22-year-old. Matuludi, on the other hand, has attracted interest from Polokwane City’s local rivals in South Africa. But Mohafe insists the two players can’t go at the same time.

POLOKWANE CITY COACH DOESN’T WANT STAR PLAYERS TO LEAVE AT THE SAME TIME

“I just want to be selfish and say, you can not take Appollis and you also take Matuludi because now you are breaking the chain, my man,” he said. You can not break the chain, so you need to keep one for the team.

Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe has explained why it would not be possible for the club to lose both Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi in the current transfer window period.

OSWIN APPOLLIS ON THE VERGE OF EXIT AT BETWAY PREMIERSHIP SIDE

Mohafe has also confirmed that negotiations for the exit of Appollis are at an advanced stage.

“I think it’s in the final stages where he stays or he goes. But I think it’s in the final stages,” he said.

With three signings so far, Mohafe has not ruled out new arrivals, but only in January. “We have added the players but with different experience from the PSL. We are very happy with what we have and the only time that we are going to strengthen the team should be in January.

“You can not be satisfied even if you have millions; you can’t be satisfied. The players that we have from last season are still there. The players that put us at number eight are still there. That is why we have brought in players that we are going to train to fit well in the club.”
