Kamohelo Mahlatsi’s contract length at Marumo Gallants revealed
Following Kamohelo Mahlatsi’s transfer move to Marumo Gallants ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season, FARPost has established the contract length of the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder at his new club.
Mahlatsi is joining Gallants on a free transfer after he parted ways with Chippa United at the end of last season. The attacking midfielder spent six months with Chippa after signing a short-term deal during the 2024 January transfer window.
In his short stint with ‘The Chilli Boys’, Mahlatsi featured in 11 appearances across all competitions without scoring any goal.
Before joining the Gqeberha-based side, the former SA junior international was in the colours Chiefs where he spent just one season.
Mahlatsi signed with ‘Amakhosi’ during the 2022/23 campaign from Moroka Swallows. He played six matches in all competitions for Chiefs.
Interestingly, Swallows sold their top-flight status to Gallants after facing financial issues, including struggling to pay players in the 2023/24 season.
‘Bahlabane Ba Ntwa’ were competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season and failed to gain automatic promotion to the Premiership.
With Gallants preparing to compete in the upcoming season, their head coach, Dan Malesela, confirmed the arrival of Mahlatsi and ex-Orlando Pirates star Xola Mlambo.
KAMOHELO MAHLATSI HAS SIGNED ONE-YEAR DEAL WITH A OPTION TO EXTEND WITH ANOTHER TWO YEARS AT MARUMO GALLANTS
This publication understands that Mahlatsi has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for a further two years.
Mahlatsi and Mlambo join Gallants alongside Daniel Msendami, Phathutshedzo Nange, Rewaldo Prins, Mbulelo Wagaba, Washington Arubi, Tshepo Rikhotso, and Mpho Chabatsane.
Gallants will begin the new season with a tough league match against Kaizer Chiefs at Tthe oyota Stadium in Free State on Saturday, 14th September 2024. Kickoff is at 17h00.
