Determined to reclaim their former glory, Chiefs have made significant additions to their squad. Njabulo Blom, Gaston Sirino, Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley, Bradley Cross, and Miguel Inacio are among the new recruits expected to play a pivotal role in reviving the Soweto giants and challenging for all available silverware.
PARKER TIPS FIACRE NTWARI TO BECOME FIRST-CHOICE GOALIE AT CHIEFS
Having made several high-profile signings, Parker has tipped Ntwari to become the first-choice goalie at Chiefs.
Ntwari was snapped up from Galaxy in this transfer window after impressing in his breakthrough season in the Premiership . The goal-minder featured in 24 appearances across all competitions, kept nine clean sheets and conceded 23 goals.
The Rwandan international team will compete with Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen, and Bontle Molefe to find a starting place between the sticks.
“Fiacre Ntwari was in his first season with TS Galaxy; what a way to introduce himself in the PSL and sign with Kaizer Chiefs,” Bernard Parker said.
“And I said to him before the season starts that he needs to have coffee with me, the same thing that Given Msimango did when he moved to Chiefs.
“I would expect that Ntwari takes what he learned at TS Galaxy to Chiefs. He needs to continue doing that. So, all I could say is that I’m yet to have coffee with Ntwari. I believe he will take the number one jersey at Chiefs based on his qualities.
“I know it won’t be easy because he’s competing against two top keepers in Petersen and Bvuma. When he’s got a chance [to play], he needs to compete week in and week out.”
