Sinky Mnisi returns to Royal AM

Betway Premiership side Royal AM have announced the return of veteran football administrator Sinky Mnisi.

Mnisi has previously held the role of Chief Executive Officer [CEO] at the club.

During his tenure, Mnisi oversaw the club’s promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship to the Premiership.

But he left his role in January 2023 after he initially went on special leave. Since then, Mnisi has also worked at Marumo Gallants for a short stint.

VETERAN ADMINISTRATOR REJOINS ROYAL AM

In an official statement on Tuesday, the club announced Mnisi’s return, this time as Chief Operations Officer.

“Royal AM is pleased to announce the return of Sinky Mnisi, who has rejoined the club from his family responsibility leave,” the club said.

“Effective immediately, Mnisi will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer [COO] for the next three years, where he will be instrumental in driving the club’s vision and operational excellence.

“During his absence, Sinky has remained committed to the values and goals of Royal AM FC, and his return is met with enthusiasm by team members and supporters alike. With extensive experience and a deep understanding of the club’s culture and ambitions, Mnisi is uniquely positioned to lead Royal AM into an exciting new chapter.”

“In his role as COO, Sinky will focus on several key areas. Operational Strategy: Implementing efficient operational processes to enhance performance both on and off the field,” they said.

“Talent Development: Fostering a strong youth program that nurtures local talent and prepares youth for professional success. Sustainability: Enhancing the club’s brand and reputation in sustainable practices within the sports industry.

“To our valued supporters and media partners, we are currently focusing our efforts on seamlessly integrating Sinky Mnisi back into the club in his new capacity. We will not be conducting interviews at this time.”

Meanwhile, the Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS] has scheduled 11 October 2024 as the new date for the ruling on the ban handed down by FIFA to the club. As it stands the club is unable to register new players due to the ban.
